Last week, I shared with you the Pugmires’ mind-blowing kitchen renovation they tackled all on their own, and mentioned I’d be sharing something else they’d been working on this week. Well, a couple months ago I mentioned that they should enter the CertainTeed exterior makeover contest. They have been working so hard on the inside of their house for the past three years, I expressed their exterior deserves a facelift to match the sweat equity they put into the interior.
Preston is an extremely talented musician, and Corine is the sweetest, kindest kindergarten teacher. They’re such an amazing team in working on their home, raising their too-adorable-to-handle baby boy (with bright red hair, I die), and doing special things for everyone in their lives. They have helped us on so many projects in our own home, and they’re always doing the same for others. I really hope each of you have someone like them in your lives, because they make ours just so much better.
They were so excited about entering the contest and just like every other project they tackle, they put their all into it. Preston WROTE A SONG for their entry and directed a full-fledged music video about their house starring their little family. I want you all to see their contest entry video, and not just so you’ll vote for them (though I really hope you do). I want you to see their video because it really is something special and catchy and a music video…about a house! As one of our other friends put it, “This is too good. Like, seriously, no company contest even deserves entries as awesome as this.”
And it’s true. Greta listens to the song on repeat all day, and we all have the entire thing memorized. You can watch it right here. Â Either way, it’s 96 seconds well spent.
Did they win in the end?
They didn’t! But!!! Certainteed ended up hiring Preston to write a bunch of songs for them–so they consider it a huge win.

I have voted for the past couple days- their video is so creative! (BUT I have a beef with contests that rely on voting. The current leader has such a lame video, but they have convinced enough people to vote for them.) Here’s hoping the Pugmires take the lead!
The good news is, ultimately, the judges will pick the winner from the top ten! So the Pugmires still have a really good shot. Fingers crossed and thanks for voting!

I do have a bone to pick with it though… It should come with a hilarity disclaimer! First time I watched it I was confused about the colour scheme… it reminded me of something… but what?!? I spewed my drink through my nose on “Neapolitan ice cream” LOL
It was whisky… it hurt… LOL
