Jules loves creating a comfortable place for people to gather, and I love feeding those people once they've gathered. I also love adjusting classic, traditionally heavy party foods to be a little more healthy without people feeling like they're being cheated out of enjoyment.
QVC has all kinds of stuff to help you get ready for your upcoming party, and today I'm sharing three versions of my unfried chicken wings, Dry Rubbed, Honey Chipotle, and Lime Cilantro--they're all delicious, and all super easy to make. Add these to your party spread and you'll definitely have a happy crowd.
Dry Rub Unfried Chicken Wings
An easy dry rub chicken wing recipe, made in the air fryer, with loads of flavor and less oil.
Prep Time5 minutes mins
Cook Time1 hour hr
Total Time1 hour hr 5 minutes mins
Course: Appetizer, Main Course
Cuisine: American
Keyword: air fryer, chicken, chicken wings
Servings: 6
- 4 lbs chicken wings cut into flat and drumette
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp ground allspice
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
In a bowl or zip top bag, combine all the ingredients and toss to coat.
Add to air fryer in groups, making sure the wings are in a single layer, skin side up, with space between them.
Cook in batches at 360 degrees for 20 minutes. Keep on a baking sheet in the oven set to warm until ready to serve. (alternatively you could add a little more olive oil and bake the wings in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes to cook more at a time)
Honey Chipotle Unfried Chicken Wings
A glazed version of my dry rub unfried wings - sweet, hint of spice but not overpowering, and a definite winner of a dish.
Prep Time5 minutes mins
Cook Time1 hour hr
Total Time1 hour hr 5 minutes mins
Course: Appetizer, Main Course
Cuisine: American
Keyword: chicken, chicken wings, chipotle, honey
Servings: 6
- 4 lbs Dry Rub Unfried Chicken Wings see recipe above
For the glaze
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 2 chipotle chilis in adobo sauce minced
- 1 tbsp adobo sauce from the chilis
While the chicken wings are cooking, make the sauce by combining all the sauce ingredients in a bowl and whisking together. Just before serving, toss the wings into the glass and set on a platter. Enjoy!
Lime & Cilantro Unfried Chicken Wings
A fresh, delicious, glazed version of my dry rub unfried chicken wings.
Prep Time5 minutes mins
Cook Time1 hour hr
Total Time1 hour hr 5 minutes mins
Course: Appetizer, Main Course
Cuisine: American
Keyword: chicken, chicken wings, cilantro, lime
Servings: 6
- 4 lbs Dry Rub Unfried Chicken Wings see recipe above
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 1/2 cup lime juice fresh squeezed
- 1 tsp lime zest
- 1/4 cup minced cilantro
- 1/4 cup honey
While the wings are cooking, make the glaze by first heating the olive oil and minced garlic on medium heat until the garlic starts to sizzle. Remove from heat and set aside to cool (don't let the garlic cook too long or it will burn - just trying to get the harshness out of it)
Once cooled, add the garlic and oil to the remaining ingredients and whisk to combine. Drop the wings into the glaze, toss to coat evenly, and enjoy!

I made 1 and 3 for dinner tonight. The dry rub flavor is delicious, but you if you’re using table salt you may want to use less. I only had table salt available (nothing chunkier) and it was a tad too salty (and I am a salt lover). Will make again, very tasty otherwise.
Your recipes always look amazing!
Can you bake them in the oven on sheet pans? Would they need to be on racks to elevate them? I don't have an air fryer and don't want one more appliance in my tiny kitchen. These look interesting.
Yes, you can do them directly on a sheet pan. I would add more oil though!
