Our Lola Blankets are on the list of "most favorite things we own". They won first place in our 2022 blanket test—in fact, that result led to us connecting with their team about a potential collaboration, and we were so excited to launch our beautiful Lakefront and Raisin colors last year. It immediately felt like, "OK, what else do we need to build out the Chris Loves Julia collection!?" Right away we began discussing an extension of our collaboration. Because what's a Chris Loves Julia line without a dark green, ANYWAY!?
We're excited to announce three NEW colors and designs that reflect our home's aesthetic and fit into our lineup of beautiful, perfectly plush blankets. One detail we're particularly proud of? We are introducing Lola Blanket's first-ever two-toned, double-sided blanket, an "exciting new challenge" for them as their team told me when I pitched the idea!

Without further ado, let's meet the new blankets!
CLJ X Lola Blankets: Juniper
When people sent us requests for more blanket colors, the request we got most was for a dark green. And we absolutely needed a dark green. It's one of my personal favorites, which is why it's one of our signature CLJ colors! That color was missing in Lola's lineup as well, so it was an easy choice to add. We are really excited about this juniper green—it's a true "evergreen"—perfect all year round. (But it also makes for a great holiday throw if you're looking for something extra cozy!)
CLJ X Lola Blankets: A La Mode
To add to the colors, we wanted to do a taupe or a brown blanket, but we didn’t want to do too dark of a brown. So I thought, "What if we did a take on the colors in our kitchen?" That’s where the two-tone idea came in: there's a creamy taupe and then the most calming camel brown color. These are two colors that live so beautifully together. We were so excited that Lola was on board with a reversible blanket because it was something that we really wanted to do. It's so versatile—it’s like getting a 2-for-1 blanket! You can show it on either side. That was the next one that made sense for our collection.
CLJ X Lola Blankets: Corduroy
One thing that we hadn’t tried yet with Lola Blankets was some sort of pattern. We wanted a design that felt classic — nothing too trendy. Also, I like to imagine our blankets can live in any room in the house in a really traditional way and not compete with other patterns. So together we came up with this fun design that we called Corduroy because it kind of looks like soft ribs or waves. I love heathered and marled looks because they feel a little bit more worn, cozy, and homey. We did this luxurious pattern in a really beautiful neutral brown that’s different enough from the Raisin, so it really feels like a natural fit in our collection.
My Advice on Choosing Sizes
In case you need some help in choosing a size, the medium size is perfect for one full grown adult to lay under comfortably. The large size is excellent for multiple adults to cozy up for a show. The baby size makes a good lap blanket and is great for toddlers and kids. My 7-year-old sleeps with the baby size and she also travels with it! She’s a pretty tall 7-year-old, so that should tell you how sizable it is!

How We Care for Our Lola Blankets
Our friends at Lola Blankets recommend that you hang dry your blanket for the best results, but you can definitely maintain your blanket’s softness by tumble drying on low. Just be sure to use the AIR setting and avoid any heat during the process. We really wash them only when needed, and they still look and feel great. Another trick is to hang dry and when it’s 75% dry, you can put it in the dryer on the fluff cycle for the last 25%.
How Quickly Can I Get My Hands On One?
The Lola Blankets team tells me they are processing orders within 1-2 business days, and shipping times vary depending on location, but most orders are arriving within 5-7 business days. We all know people are excited to get their hands on these new designs, so their team is working hard to ship them out as quickly as possible!
