Bridging the gap between fashion blogger and stay-at-home-mom

March 8, 2011
I know you are dying to know what I am wearing today.  You probably wonder everyday, don't you?  Today, I am sporting extremely fashion-forward black leggings.  Maternity ones (I'm not even pregnant).  Hot-t.  A plain black t-shirt that I cut the neck line to make it a scoop neck back when I didn't care who saw my bra straps (aka 2004ish).  Good thing I have my vintage American Eagle, completely faded zip-up to hide what that scoop neck is baring (2006 is vintage, isn't it?).
must clean that mirror today
No shoes needed.
No jewelry needed.
Don't be jealous that I have the best job.
(I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to say something like "kthanxbye" right here.
Also, I forgot to put everything in lowercase letters.)

  3. Hi Julia. Just found your blog through several mutual friends' blogs. I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your honesty, it is so refreshing! I absolutely love your decorating style. And I'm determined to transform some of my old pillows into that gorgeous ruffle pillow you made, so inspiring. I want to surround myself with genuine blogs, and yours won me over in a matter of seconds.
    Thanks!

  4. Hahaha! Love it. And I also loved your post about the things that but you, bc I totally agree with you. Fashion blogs...ugh, get over yourself. Glee...hate that stupid show. Utah drivers...worst drivers ever! Glad to see that there are other people that share the same opinions as me.

  5. I love this! hahaha I'm rockin a pretty hot ensemble today too.... maybe I should post it. hahaha There is this blog I check sometimes where she posts her outfits and then asks people to leave a comment telling her what they think about it... maybe you should do that. :) Love it.

My Storage Hack for Organizing Christmas Decorations

Every year when I pack up the decorations after Christmas, I collect all of the garlands together in one box, I get all the candlesticks together in another box, and all my nativity sets go into their own box. We label the boxes "garlands," "candles," "nativity sets,"...which seems great until you remember that you have […]

Cranberry-Glazed Ham

What do you make for Christmas dinner? Sometimes we'll do a prime rib or a roast turkey, but this year, I'm going all out with a Christmas ham that just looks festive. For this recipe, I made a cranberry-orange glaze with some warm winter spices that takes this ham to the next level. Oh and […]

Product Test: Portable Phone Chargers

Raise your hand if you panic when your phone's low battery notification turns on? (Just me??) There's nothing worse when I'm out on a fun holiday outing taking video memories of my family, and I see that red light. Or I'm traveling and stuck in the airport on a layover...it gives me anxiety! I've tried […]
