The first half of the week, it seemed like everything was going wrong...or in the very least, nothing was progressing on our projects which can feel frustrating with tight deadlines. But then, boom! Wednesday hit and everything turned around. Our stair railing got done--it feels as if it appeared out of thin air, the countertop for our standing desk arrived, a replacement print for the living room showed up on our doorstep. I got a great report from Greta's teacher and parent/teacher conference--all the best things. So now everything is moving, and we're juggling projects left and right but it feels productive and busy and like falling asleep the second my head hits the pillow. Again, all good things.
More goods from this week!
Anthropologie is highlighting Idaho on their site right now and it's giving me all the warm and fuzzies. I'll be honest, Idaho is not a design mecca, and I often feel a little frustrated when I have to order a lot of pieces for our home online. But what our corner of the world lacks in stores, there is so much inspiration to be absorbed in our wide open spaces. Recently, Chris and I have been looking into fixing up an old cabin and renting it out on Airbnb. I'm dying to decorate a mountain-esque home and there's no shortage of cabins that need rescued around here. Of course we'll keep you posted.
Chip and Joanna's book, The Magnolia Home, was released this week and I've already heard so many great things about it.
I ran across this quote on Lonny and had to save it. Our house is far from perfect, that's okay, and I always laugh too loud at jokes, too.
These shams with oversized poms as fringe for $39 for 2!!! has to be the cheapest way to add the cutest pillows to your bed...or your daughters' bunks?
Looking for someone new to follow? @CathyPoshusta on instagram and her blog, The Grit and Polish is seriously great. They recently did their own 6 day kitchen renovation (That turned out amazing!) and are currently guest participants in the ORC renovating their master. You'll die over the plans!
West Elm is having a real big sale--20% off your entire order using the code SCORE20. Their new, amazing, Esme sofa is marked down to $699 and I already bought a couple baskets.
Hope your weekend is cozy and productive! I'm off to paint the girls' room!
My husband and I are in the process of rescuing a cabin in north MS. I joke that it was built by Boy Scouts. I'd love to see y'all's rescue!
Love this! Glad you're feeling productive again! :)
