The weather in North Carolina is officially starting to turn. Temperatures are dropping and I'm putting on my boots and layers, but not mad about it at all. Last year we learned that fall actually lasts longer than a couple weeks here in North Carolina! In Idaho we were used to temperatures and leaves dropping overnight so this extended season is a delight. As a family we're really looking forward to enjoying all the autumnal activities that we didn't really get to take advantage of last fall as we were still adjusting to the move. Fall is one of my very favorite things and so I've been rolling out the pumpkins, lighting fall candles, and using these 5 tips to decorate the home for fall.

September marks the month we launched our Fall Rug Collection with Loloi! The three new collections are looking so good in our home and we're mixing and matching them with all our other Loloi rugs. Can't want to trickle out more rug content in the coming weeks. We finally put a wrap on our backyard pool retreat for the season, but we're still taking nightly swims with the heat on. Also happening outside, Chris has been breaking in the outdoor kitchen now that it's usable, and he's been cooking up as many of his fall bucket list recipes as possible. In the kitchen we made a green smoothie mess testing out 7 blenders to find out which one blends the best (which was an absolute riot)! Lastly, Chris and I spent a week in London previewing the newest Williams Sonoma and William Morris & Co. collaboration. It was an incredible honor to tour the city and countryside with them and I soaked up every last hanging floral–on the walls and storefronts.
At the end of every month, we (the CLJ family) gather up our favorite things from the month. It's usually a conglomerate of things, but this month you can tell everyone has Fall on the brain. Enjoy!
"My new favorite clips! I was surprised at the strength and hold on these, plus the check pattern is super cute for fall (even though I'll be wearing them all year)." – Missy (Editoral Manager)
"Can a $70 duvet cover really be that good... the answer is yes! I paired this in off-white (really looks like a true white) with a duvet insert from the duvet insert test for our primary bedroom." –Becca (Good Influencer Manager)
"If you try any cookbook this Fall, let this be the one. It's all about meals that make you feel good. I have yet to try a recipe I'm not obsessed with." - Brooke (Affiliate Marketing Manager)
"I've been using this grill brush for years, and although I've tested many others, this is the one I always come back to. Cleans the grill without any harsh noises or scratches." – Chris
"I film Chris Cooks every week, and all of Chris's beautiful on-hand cooking tools are rubbing off on me. Last month I bought a brass oil curet, and in September got a marble salt cellar. I'm adding a little dash here and there to every recipe and feel so cool doing it." – Andi (Visual Media Head)
"It seems like every fall season I buy a new fleece full zip-up to layer over everything. This one checks all my boxes this year." –Julia
"For Easter and Christmas I generally get the girls a new dress but this year we are going to be taking family pictures earlier, so I got this! I LOVE all the dresses that Janie & Jack have because they're the best quality and the designs are so classic." –Julia
"We were having issues with our kitchen stools scratching the hardwood floors so I took the time to peel off the felt pads they came with and replace them all with these. No more scratching and it only took about 10 minutes to swap them all out." – Chris
"Aileen Fitzgerald prints are available at Pottery Barn, and they're so ghostlike and autumnal and moody. I want to cover every wall with her work." – Victoria (Brand Manager)
"The softest button down I've ever owned. About to wear this on every Fall outing." – Tristan (Project Manager)
Happy Fall!
