Holiday Gift Guide For Kids 2022

November 3, 2022

Shopping for kids for the Holidays can be both fun and tricky. You want to give them something they'll love that won't also make the parents' life harder. This gift guide for kids is filled with toys and activities that check both those boxes.

Last Holiday season, these reversible plushies were coveted and also sold out everywhere. There are so many color options and different facial expressions that surely any kid will love.

Your kids will love you forever if they wake up Christmas morning to an actual gumball machine! This machine is adorable, plus it's made of metal and the dome is glass (no plastic!). It accepts pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters, or you can set it for plain dispensing. You can also get creative with it and dispense other fun things!

I love gifting things that double as an activity. This wooden transportation puzzle set could entertain my kids for hours, but there are also other sets like dinosaurs, insects, and animals. Pair this with a cute acrylic paint set, and you'll be parent-of-the-year.

I am actually obsessed with these Calico Critters. This little bunny family is so charming, and the house comes with all the furniture and can be rearranged into different layouts. I think my favorite part, though, is the lamps that actually light up. Lamp 'O Clock!

5. Yoto Player $109

I have a feeling my kids are going to be obsessed with this audio player clock. It comes with these little content cards that your kids insert, and it plays the audio and displays a pixel animation to bring the audio to life! There are stories, activities, music, and more! Plus, it doubles as a clock and a sleep training machine.

6. Play Tent $79

There could not be a cuter playhouse tent for that price! Everything about this is perfection from the A-frame design, the scalloped edging, the windows... It also comes with star twinkle lights, tassels, and a playmat.

7. Bug Hotel $26

Everybody can probably think of at least one kid who's into bugs. Help them hang this cute "Bug Hotel" outside and wait for the magic to happen. Attracting bees, butterflies, ladybirds, and a host of other insects, this bug hotel offers a safe place for insects to rest, hibernate, nest, and lay eggs away from prying predators. Plus, it's cute!

This wooden shape puzzle is perfect for kids who love all things shapes and patterns and cute little tactile things. There are 48 patterns to make and all the blocks you need, plus some! Great for kids in the 3-5 range.

An electric scooter is all the rage! The battery is rechargeable and lasts up to 40 minutes of continuous motor use. The reviews are outrageously positive, and I can see my kids riding these for hours around the neighborhood.

10. Sorel Boots $75

You've got to be kidding me with these adorable Sorel boots for kids. Nobody does classic boots better than Sorel, and I trust that my kids' feet will stay warm and comfortable in these all day long! Comes in 3 different colors!

Have you ever seen a cuter air mattress? This convertible-shaped air mattress is perfect for those spontaneous sibling sleepovers, and this is going to be the most coveted bed in the house!

Immediately add to cart! This checkered knit sweater is way too cute to pass up. For Christmas, I like to gift some clothes along with fun things too, and this feels both festive and timeless.

I don't know about your kids, but my kids are listening to music and singing almost every day. This Bluetooth karaoke microphone is the perfect gift for those music-obsessed kids that are constantly singing along and putting on "performances" in the living room for their family to watch.

This Sky Lite, projects a dancing starry night around the room and ceiling for some magical nighttime ambiance. The reviews speak for themselves, but I think this would be so fun to teleport to another world and stargaze with your kids.

This kid-safe starter knife set is freaking adorable. It's made out of a nylon material with a blunt edge that can cut through fruits and veggies but won't cut any fingers. Perfect for those little helpers who want to do everything mommy or daddy are doing.

16. Walkie Talkies $16

There's nothing quite like the nostalgia of walkie-talkies. Would make a perfect gift for siblings or friends, and they can play spy or hide and seek at home or in the neighborhood. Such a cute look too.

My Storage Hack for Organizing Christmas Decorations

Every year when I pack up the decorations after Christmas, I collect all of the garlands together in one box, I get all the candlesticks together in another box, and all my nativity sets go into their own box. We label the boxes "garlands," "candles," "nativity sets,"...which seems great until you remember that you have […]

Cranberry-Glazed Ham

What do you make for Christmas dinner? Sometimes we'll do a prime rib or a roast turkey, but this year, I'm going all out with a Christmas ham that just looks festive. For this recipe, I made a cranberry-orange glaze with some warm winter spices that takes this ham to the next level. Oh and […]
