It's no secret that we are obsessed with Ikea. But what may be a secret to some is their "as is" section after the showroom...and the market place...and the warehouse--in the front corner of the store. We visit this section OFTEN and always walk away with a steal and a half. After all, we can't pass up a handmade basket with a lid for 50% off just because it was a display model, right!? So--we're passing it on to you. We are going to work together on this once a month, okay? We get to keep making trips to Ikea and finding these gems and you get to win them. Do you love it? You love it.
This month, feast your eyes on the very handmade basket we just talked about:
|
diameter 5 in; height 6 in |
This would look amazing on a shelf above your bed, on a mantle, a desk, a countertop; mix it in to your centerpiece, set it atop a stack of magazines on your bookcase....this is truly a gem and we want someone to love it as much as we do.
So, lets get down to the 411 on winning this little pretty:
- To enter: Leave a comment on this post about something you would stash away in this basket. (Get creative, we love a good laugh!)
- Giveaway closes: Thursday, January 20th at 9 pm MST
- The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Friday. Good luck!
Only one entry per person. Prize only ships to 48 contiguous states. (We still love you Alaska and Hawaii).
THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED,
BUT KEEP CHECKING BACK FOR OUR NEXT ONE.

Love it! I think I'd put it in the living room on my husband's end table next to his chair and have him put his change/keys/etc. in there instead of out on the table. I'd probably have to nag him for awhile to get him to remember to use it, though...LOL...
I would let my husband use it to put all of his change in and then I would cash it all in. I am always finding his change on the entrance table so this would be perfect.

Yeah, I'm a mom and wife. I can never, ever find scissors or tape in the drawer where I put them. I swear, in the past three months, I've bought FOUR pairs of scissors and THREE 3-pks of scotch tape. No one in the house has even seen them (uh-huh!) I'd hide my very own, personal pair of scissors and as many rolls of tape as possible in that little basket. Then I'd put some tampons on top (I have two sons and a hubby - that ought to scare them off!)
ohmiss14 at yahoo dot com
Hmm Im sure it would end up with baby emma's toy in them
[email protected]
LoL I love the peson who said they'd stash a cobra in there! I would stash some cadbury candy eggs in there and tell no one else!! MUAHAHA!!!
my son's spare underpants on the back of the potty

I would also stash the remotes in this cute basket, but not so I could find them but to keep little sticky hands off them! OOOORRR I'd put it in the bathroom and store extra toilet paper, if it's big enough. Love this basket!!
Very chic! Hmm....it would definitely go in the living room and would probably store AIR. However, it would look fabulous doing so!
hiwendyhi at yahoo dot com
I would put it in my bedroom! I don't know what I would hide in it- maybe chocolate :)
I'm not sure what I'd put in it, but I'm pretty sure it would look pretty PERFECT on my fantastic Ikea bookcase that ALSO came from the as-is section of Ikea. I LOVE the as-is section too and have LOTS of awesome stuff from there!
chanci_8(at)yahoo(dot)com
I would hide my chocolate in there so my husband wouldn't eat it all before I get the chance!

I would love to stash some sort of kid crap in there. I swear the kid stuff that clutters my house is everywhere.
I would love to stash away diapers and wipes because I always need them in the living room, but they aren't very attractive!
I would put it on my bathroom counter and hide all of my toiletries in it.

I would put my sons crayons and other small toy in it! Great for the living room to hide all the toys, so it can still feel like an adult home!
I would stash candy in the basket for guests to take a little treat when they visit!
I would stash all my lotions and cosmetics in here!
[email protected]
Jules you are so cute, look at you! I think that I might have to use it for my pet cobra, not a lot of people know that I am a snake charmer, one of my many talents~
Umm... all my cluttery crap could be stashed away in it! Love it! :)
I'd love to put this in my living room next to some random bottles for decor. I'd then stash in it the figurine {that isn't my style} which we got for our wedding from a friend of my MIL, so I easily could pull it out to display when certain guests arrive ;)
We'd put our Christmas card in it.
I would stash the remote control's so maybe I can find them! ;)
I have a ton of toiletries and getting ready supplies that could be stashed away in it. I love it!
Oh what wouldn't I stash in the basket :)
I would put a piece of my husband's Lakers gear in there so I wouldn't have to see it!
I think it would look great in my home office. It's got to be better than some of the other stuff sitting in there....
SO cute! I LOVE this. I would use it to organize my crafting supplies. I am always looking for cute places to hide all my little pieces.
This would look amazing I think in our bathroom. On the counter. Not sure what I would put in it...but I'm preeeeetty sure I'd find something perfect!!!!!
