What started out like this...
....actually turned out to be really fun!
The water was too cold for Greta at first. Uncle Matt (Chris's brother) let us come visit the pool at his condo. It was a perfect day for swimming. Low 80s, low wind, lots of sun!! After a few minutes, Greta got used to it and we all swam as a family.
Greta hardly looked up the whole time because the sun was SO bright! I smothered her with sunscreen--even in her hair, but the reality is she needs a little hat and mini sunglasses to call her own.
After about 30-45 minutes, we thought her little skin had enough. She could have swam longer by this point though. She was really kicking and enjoying it. I was just a worried mom and didn't want her to get burnt. After swimming, Greta snuggled up in Chris's arms and was asleep before we even got to the car.
Chris and I made one stop before heading home: SubZero Ice Cream. Today, my summer began!
Babies wearing sunglasses should be web-site, they look so cute with them on! We got a baby pair from babies r us and put them on along with the song "Cooler than me"- Michael Posner and laugh hysterically...I think she loves it!

Love the swim suit. Love it. Love it. Chris is right- she was born to swim. She takes to water... like a fish... to water.
This comment is lame. Sorry.
We got a great hat for Brinley at Target. I'm not sure if Brinley is even aware of things on her head, but she didn't care one bit that she had on this huge bucket swim hat on. Oh well!! hahaha and we got this adorable swim suit at Baby Gap (surprised? lol) and it has like a rash guard top to protect her shoulders. Check it out. I got another top at Target too. I feel much better taking her out in the sunshine with her shoulders and back protected!
Just passing my mommy advice to you!
