After my post earlier this week about all of the rugs in our house, I had a lot of inquiries about vintage rugs that are for sale right now. One-of-a-kind rugs are just that, there's only one! So when you love it, snatch it up! Here are 15 for sale around the web right now that I'm loving. They range in price from $99 to $1000. You can go a lot higher, of course, but I tried to keep them in a range I would be willing to pay. For a large 9x12, I'd go up to probably $1500 for the right rug (we paid that much for our 10x14 living room rug), but I also wanted to show that you don't have to pay an arm and a leg. (Clicking on each rug image will bring you directly to the source for purchase.)
One thing we noticed with some of the vintage rugs around our home is the older, the thinner and they are also almost always unusual sizes. If there ever was backing--it's gone. And if there ever was thickness to it, that's gone too. The rug slid around quite a bit and we wanted to provide a little cushion under foot. RugPadUsa.com reached out to me last year when shortly after we got the kitchen runner and offered to send me one of their pads to try out. I was looking for custom sized rug pads at the time and it has solved all of our vintage rug problems. I was able to choose which kind of flooring we had (you can choose from hardwood, laminate, carpet, tile, or outdoor) and exactly what we wanted to get out of the pad. They every size imaginable and you can even have them custom cut. We ordered an Eco-Solid pad for the kitchen rug (for about $30) and we got a Premium Lock pad for the irregularly shaped hide in the study that used to slide every where.
So if you're planning on picking up a vintage rug, you're probably going to want a pad to go with it. Although their prices are extremely reasonable, RugPadUsa.com is offering an additional 15% to our readers using code PR15OFF. Happy Shopping!

We're redoing our house after flooding, and I'm trying not to copy every single thing you guys do! Do you still like these rug pads? Looking for something that has a little more padding than the Gorilla Grip that you recommended in another post
totally!
Hello, first off I adore you guys and your style. You are my absolute favorite bloggers and Instagram account that I follow. I'm about to order a rug for my kitchen. I have black with some wood. And my question is does your kitchen rug have black or is that a dark blue in it? I'm generally a matching person, but seeing a lot of navy uses with black?!? Thoughts?
It's Navy! I love the mix
I love you home! Do you have any tips for shopping for rugs online? I find searching all these sights overwhelming with very few ways to narrow down my search, esp based on size (on most sites anyway).
Finding the perfect vintage rug is definitely a test in patience. On eSaleRugs.com, I have started by determining what size I want and then they have a color filter, too.
I love you for this post!!! I've been scouring the web for these types of rugs, that don't cost an arm and a leg. Thank you so much!
You guys are winning the blog-o-sphere right now! Loving all of your posts. Any chance you could share your method for searching for vintage rugs? Thanks!
I don't see the 15 rugs... are they sold out?
Hi Lauren, we posted them in a new way that uses javascript. Make sure your browser isn't set to block things like that and it should work.
We have a hide under our kitchen table and its moving constantly. What size pad did you get, and then did you just cut it to match?
