Gah! I'm addicted and holding myself back from giving everything an oil rubbed bronze finish. The two lucky (or 5 if you are an optimist) contestants were that mirror that I painted blue last year and our white couch's legs.
When I painted that mirror blue, I said that I would love it for a year before changing it, oops. This particular bright blue, or maybe just the rustic finish, just doesn't fit into our home's palette anymore (which I'll definitely share, soon). And those silver metal legs looked cold. And made the room look cold and cheap, too.
After a couple, thin coats of spray paint, they look rich and warm and add so much to the living room. "So much" is subjective, of course.
Oil rubbed bronze is not black, but it's not brown, either. It has so much depth and this spray paint leaves a great shimmery, metallic look that looks chic and warm. But you don't have to take my (or LeVar Burton's) word for it:
oooh pretty. i like the black vs. the not black. well done.
Its so beautiful and classy. Maybe next year when I come I can photograph all your rooms? I love house decor photography

The room looks FAB! Don't you love spray paint? Its such a cheap, quick fix. Instant gradification. Love the window treatments too!
I want a mirror by my front door. Sigh. And I love those little legs laying there on the couch.
