That's an
actual book. One day when I have a guest room, I think I will probably put that on the nightstand so that my guests can swoon over other people's romances and giggle themselves to sleep. But if you can't wait, and you are a sap and enjoy a good love letter--here's one that I have been granted permission to share from my OWN files. That's right, a real life love letter--the love letter that TOPS all love letters--from Chris to me. I received it this day, 3 years ago. Swoon away.
(Psst. If you are finding it too small to read, just click on the image to make it larger.)
Hey. Did you put that book in your new guest room? ...Is it weird to be commenting on a 6 year old post?
Haha I should!! It's in our reading room right now
chris and julia,
I just discovered your blog, fell head over heels for it, and had to start reading backwards.
how refreshing to find a place of inspiration and a couple so in love. sometimes I worry about flaunting my very happy marriage because it feels like such a rare thing these days. I would not be blogging/cooking/decorating/smiling if not for sharing this life with the most wonderful man for me.
I cannot wait to follow your home adventures (we move into our first house in September!) and hope you don't mind my adding you to A Pear to Remember's blogroll. I'm anxious to send more people your way!
peace and peas,
Lindsey

Thanks for sharing!!! I loved reading that letter!! Here is what I want to know... What did you say back to him? :-) Do you have that letter? Don't leave us hanging! Haha. I love great love stories!
O my gosh. YOU TWO ARE ADORABLE!!!!!
I love reading letters that say...hahahaha or lol. It is so "our time" ya know? My mom would never say that.
One of my favorite times in my relationship with Ryan is when he was away at school and we would write emails back and forth to each other. There is just something SO special about the written word. Ya know? Except that I do NOT know what to say most times. I am not good at writing anything lovey dovey.
Loved reading this letter - Thanks for sharing. I know when he finally "woke up" there was no turning back. So glad you felt the same. I about had a breakdown myself before "I finally called him" the day after you got home. Such a perfect match!
