Every time I get to share a peek at our new CLJ office space, I get a whirl of excitement because it's been in the works behind the scenes for so long. I practically pinch myself whenever I come to work because it's sort of a dream come true. We've been taking our time with furnishing and decorating the office, and I'm excited to be showing you the cute kitchen corner that's looking prettier every day. Everything about this kitchen design was intentionally made, from the mushroom cabinet color, down to the beautifully designed paper towel pump made by the expert designers over at simplehuman.
I tend to get a bit preachy when it comes to filling your homes with things that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional, and the same applies to our team office, which is an extension of our CLJ home and style. Simplehuman was the obvious source for bringing innovative and beautiful design to our everyday utility items used by our whole team!
In the past, we've done a segment on the blog called "Good-Looking Ugly Things." You know, a round-up of those utility items like toilet bowl scrubbers that aren't a complete eyesore. Simplehuman is the trailblazer in taking those everyday utility pieces and designing the most innovative and high-performing tools that don't compromise on aesthetics whatsoever. In fact, their products enhance this kitchen in more than function; they're an integral part of our kitchen's design!
We've been big fans of simplehuman for years because of their dedication to marrying form and function with everything they create, so we were really excited about incorporating their products into our frequently visited kitchen. Our team was literally giddy unboxing and setting everything up, starting with the show-stopping sensor can.
They thought of everything when it came to this trash can. The lid is motion-activated, or you can say, "Open can," which is the preferred "fun" thing to do at work. We got the dual-compartment can for tossing both recyclables and trash in a breeze. And there's a pocket for storing and accessing trash liners, and the recycling side has a handled bucket for easy lifting and emptying. We used to have a separate blue recycle bin that was a complete eyesore, but with this bin, it's all tucked away discreetly. We stuck one of their odor-adsorbing pods to the inside of the lid, which neutralizes odors using only natural ingredients. I'm a big fan of the bright white, which complements the cabinets really beautifully, but this trash can also comes in brushed stainless steel and matte black.
Since we don't have a dishwasher, we really needed a dishrack that could be left out at all times without being an eyesore. The inventive humans over at simplehuman designed the most efficient and stunning rack that we're obsessed with. The spout is absolutely essential, and it can swivel, so no matter what position you have your rack in, you get proper drainage and keep your countertops safe and dry. I love seeing it atop our faux marble countertop looking so good.
In the past, I've bought hand and dish soaps JUST for the cute bottles and filled them with my preferred soap, but I've never loved a soap dispenser more than these automated bad boys. The brass is the perfect warm tone, and I love how it coordinates with our cabinet hardware beautifully. But the real magic is with the automated dispense. Charge them up for a cordless countertop, and for eight months, you can enjoy a touchless hand soap and dish soap experience from one charge!
Everything about this caddy station, from the sponge holder to the smudge-free finish, makes absolute sense. One little techy insight is that you can control the amount of soap dispensed based on how close you position your hand to the sensor. I'm sorry, what??
This seemingly simple paper towel holder is an all-in-one cleanup kit. You can tackle every spill with the integrated cleaning spray pump, which pops in and out of the paper towel pump! The continuous fine mist spray is so satisfying to use. Then you pop it right back into the holder and easily tear off a paper towel sheet or two to wipe it clean. The tension rod makes it easy to unravel single-handedly for a hassle-free cleanup.
You know a brand is doing its job when you want to just go on and on to your family and friends about their products! This is one of those brands that I can't shut up about, and now my home kitchen is even jealous. I'm all about investing in products that add convenience and efficiency to my day-to-day life, which simplehuman epitomizes in every way. And I don't think I'm alone in feeling like the atmosphere at work is more creative and joyous every day.
I love this paint color! Can you tell me the name and brand? Thank you!
Definitely want to get the paper towel holder! Was the wood shelf with brass rails thrifted or do you have link for that??
So great for an office kitchen! We have the dish rack at home and I'm obsessed with it - I also use it for letting my plants drain after watering.
