I first started talking about creating a Chris Loves Julia shop in 2016. It's been a loooooong time coming. I really wanted to start a curated shop of all things home. The idea wasn't necessarily having a shop as a brick-and-mortar—I’ve always been pretty web-focused. So in 2016, I launched Shop Our House. I think it was the first of its kind. I started by sharing all the products you could buy from our house on a shop page. But the plan was always to build it out to be more of my curated picks from every category.
Well, it took a little longer than I thought. Honestly with the start of Instagram stories and so many other storefront pages like LTK, Amazon, and Lowe’s, I think my deep-seated need to have a shop lowered in priority. But for the past couple of years, I felt that desire growing again: We need to do this shop! We need a curated place for people that takes all of the millions of options out there and curate them down into one collected place—the best of the best.
For over a year, our team has been working on this. And we're beyond excited to share that the CLJ Shop is LIVE!!!
And there’s a lot more to come!! This is just the beginning. There are over 1,500 products in the shop right now and growing. Here's a little tour of what you can find there now:
Fashion
In this section you can find anything and everything I’ve worn lately in "What I Wore" and then my wishlist of fashion finds from tops, to outerwear, and accessories.
Lifestyle
The Lifestyle shop has everything you need for entertaining, beauty, and Cricket’s Corner with cute pet things. We'll be adding even more to this section (Chris is getting a section dedicated to his cooking essentials here) so stay tuned!
Furnishings & Decor
If you've ever wondered what I would choose for your living room, your dining room light fixture, or the statement vase in your kitchen, well now you have a complete guide of all of my picks for every area of the house. You'll notice little call-outs if something is a CLJ product (including some gems from our new Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, and Pottery Barn Teen collections) or when products are from some of our favorite retailers.
Seasonal & Gift Guides
The Seasonal shop is where you find everything holiday (plus, all of our picks for fall and Halloween decor). And our holiday Gift Guides will be launched at the beginning of November...which we're SO excited about. In the meantime you can find past Gift Guides like Housewarming and Birthday Gifts in this section.
We want this to be a real resource for anything you want to purchase, so that it takes some of the overwhelm out of shopping. All of these products have our CLJ seal of approval. There will be more to come—pretty much new things added daily—so check back often!!
