It took 7+ hours divided between Friday and Saturday night, but we finally finished painting! It required two coats of rolling on Chris's part and facing my greatest fear (heights!) to get all the trim done on my part. Feast your eyes on this!
Although there is still a LOT of work to be done in these areas, like painting the cabinets, getting new appliances and countertops, DIYing a new dining room fixture, replacing the fluorescent light in the kitchen, hanging art work, tackling a humungous painting, sewing some curtains and lots more we'll think of--we are happy to take things one at a time and do things as we have the energy and budget. As for now, we couldn't be happier with how much of a difference paint can make. And we had all of the supplies, so this weekend's project cost us nothing. The paint we bought while still living in our apartment. It is Benjamin Moore's Cape Hatteras Sand color-matched to Valspar. We scored 5 gallons in the mistinted section for $25 (it was originally priced at $121)!! After painting the living room, staircase wall, dining room and kitchen, we still have a little more than half left. Woot!
Chris and I both agree this was such a fun weekend. Not that painting for 7+ hours is a blast, but the conversation and the sense of accomplishment of doing something together is so rewarding.

The title of your post cracks me up. And you are a BRAVE girl for getting on that tall ladder! I was getting hight-phobia just watching you paint in that video! It looks great though. Isn't it so crazy what a difference paint color makes? It's instant gratification. Well....7+ hours isn't so instant, but you know what I mean. I love seeing all the projects you and Chris do. You two make such a good team.

I can't even imagine 7+ hours of painting. Is your back KILLING you????
It'll be fun for sure when Ry and I can paint and fix up our future home. But lets be honest, I don't wanna do TOO much lol because I'm lazy and rather watch Housewives all day. jk.
I love that color too. So awesome.
