I nearly forgot how much painting happens when you first move into a house. So much painting! We mentioned
revamping our half bath before our upcoming costume party and considering that is less than two weeks away, we figured it is time to dive in. A new light fixture, mirror and some accessories are on their way, but we needed to knock some painting out before they arrive. The lime green wasn't cutting it for us and Chris and I quickly (once we finally sat down to talk about it) landed up on a slate gray-blue. Benjamin Moore's
Wale Gray in Eggshell.
I didn't run out of paint, we'll be hanging white planks along the entire bottom half of the bathroom kind of like this beautiful photo from Elle Decor.
In real life, the color definitely comes across as a blueish-gray but on the warm side. We painted the ceiling the same color since the room for a couple reasons. 1. The room is small, so painting the ceiling the same color helps keep it uniform and looking bigger, especially since 2. We're already breaking up the bottom half of the room with white panels. Didn't want things to be too choppy.
Although things look insane right now, we're hopeful about this little room. And, isn't the tree outside this window so pretty?!
Love this!! I can't wait to see it with the white planks, we're planning a similar look once we start our bathroom reno!
Can't wait to see how it turns out! I bet the planks will be gorgeous!
Oooh, I'm currently dreaming about painting our bathrooms (all of them except the basement one which is already a lovely pale aqua) almost exactly that color! Unfortunately, there are a number of projects that trump painting all of the bathrooms (we just moved in a week ago)!
I love it! I can't wait to see how it all comes together :) And I'm impatient, so I especially love that you have your Halloween party deadline so we know we get to see the "after" photos soon! That color is perfect, love!
I kind of like the unfinished paint... It reminds me of this: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/276338127108658664/
I can't wait to see the planks! It's going to be beautiful!!
I love the plans you have for this room, especially the wooden planks!
Planks!!! Yes!!
I love the color, but I keep getting distracted - is that a light switch next to the toilet?!
Hahaha, yes. We'll the switch for the exhaust fan. Keep it handy I guess?
