But when we added the rug, it really vamped up the space. We also stored 2 chairs away until we need them. I can't believe we had 6 chairs jammed into this space. After all, we are only two people (Greta uses her highchair) and sure, we like to entertain--but it's not everyday that we have people over for dinner. So here's a tip for you: If you don't use ALL the chairs around your dining table every day--put some of them away and it will create a much airier and open feel.
And yes, I still have to address window treatments, but for now we are enjoying the soft little foot massage we are getting when we rub our feet across all that luxe raised texture while we are eating. You gotta try it--meaning: don't forget to enter the giveaway to score your own. Or just come over for dinner, I'll even pull the extra chairs out of the basement.
So, I have always thought a rug under dining tables LOOKED beautiful, but never seemed functional. We always had issues with the back legs of the chair getting caught on the rug. Any tips for that?
Our living room floor is hard wood and this carpet would work beautiful.
