Definitely not sugar free, but only natural sweeteners used and man alive it's good. Makes a little over a quart of sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 10.8 oz bottle lower sugar ketchup Noble Made brand
  • 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar Bragg's brand
  • 1 cup honey whatever is local is best
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/4 cup date syrup
  • 1 TBSP garlic powder
  • 2 tsp dry mustard powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and whisk together. Put the pan on a burner over medium heat, bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat to medium low, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Allow the sauce to cool at room temperature 30 minutes before using it or putting in a container (lidded jar, squeeze bottle, etc) and store it in the fridge. Keeps for weeks, but my guess is you'll go through it pretty quick.
