Lose. (wah-wahhhh)
I gave it my best, but the mixture of the sheer yellow (which ended up reminding me too much of an old person's home) and the bright pattern totally clashed. Ugh. It took me a LONG time to do this one panel. I started on the second one and I thought, "Jules, you better make sure you like it first." Good thing I did, because I didn't like it. Lose, for sure. I am cutting my losses at $28 and a good hour and a half's work. Maybe I'll use that fabric for something else....hmmm. Now I am thinking I would love some cream and tan striped curtains in the nursery/office. Note: I received an overwhelming response via texts, e-mail, comments, and messages on facebook all with great advice on how to tackle this project and make it work. Truth is, not only did I get not enough fabric, I got the WRONG fabric. I'm over it.
WIN!
Greta has upgraded to a convertible carseat. We went with the Graco "My Ride 65"...whatever that means. To Greta, it means naptime, to me that means HEAVEN. Greta has never been one to fall asleep in the car really. But she has been dozing left and right since we installed this little number. No wonder, that thing is soooo luxe. (Sippy) Cup holders. Super cushy lining. I want one in my size. For the same price. And a chauffeur so I can nap mid-day.
O my gosh where did you get it and how much?? I need to get one for Brin stat.
As for the curtains....the blessed knowledge that some fabric just doesn't work. I haaaaaaaaaat that. I actually have a piece of fabric I've been looking at forever since I bought 2 yards of it, and I'm afraid to make a skirt, and I just don'tknow what to do with the rest. BOOOOO soooo there it sits in my fabric box. sad day. That fabric is SO cute. Send it to me, I'll make you a pillow cover or a table runner.
She looks so sweet!
One comment. Take off those curtains. And Greta is READY for take off.
