We’re so excited to reveal our new collections with Pottery Barn Kids and Pottery Barn Teen this summer! These assortments feature beautiful silhouettes with vintage charm and a sophisticated yet playful aesthetic that will grow with your child and beyond.
In expanding our popular furniture collections with Pottery Barn Kids and Pottery Barn Teen, our goal was to introduce new pieces that seamlessly complement our existing bestsellers. From a soon-to-be-classic armoire to a playful striped ottoman, these furniture profiles and home decor collectibles give a sense of nostalgia with a twist—thanks to our moody, modern aesthetic.

One of the most exciting additions is our new animal portrait theme for Pottery Barn Kids. This classic, traditional approach to kids’ decor offers a gender-neutral alternative to pastels. It’s a little serious, but in a playful way, offering a sophisticated yet fun aesthetic. Parents today are designing spaces that their children can truly grow into, and this collection reflects that shift away from overly juvenile pastels.

Many of the most beloved pieces in our furniture collection are now also available in white, a color many parents find comfortable and practical. Especially when a room is packed with larger pieces like cribs, white can make it feel lighter and more open. We’ve also introduced a dreamy cloud unicorn print and leaned into a lovely light blue color, which I adore for both girls’ and boys’ rooms.

Don’t be afraid to layer up colors—one of my most-asked questions when we launch a new collection is always “What color paint is that in the Pottery Barn Kids nursery?” It feels so fresh and inspired to design a room that’s not all white, and you can always paint it again later! We all evolve our design aesthetic over time.

As much as I love all of the pieces we designed together with Pottery Barn Kids, I’m especially excited about a few specific pieces! I already ordered the cabana stripe Tufted Ottoman because it’s so versatile and can truly go anywhere. The Bobbin Daybed in heritage white is perfect for Polly’s room. We started her with a daybed in our last house, and we switched her to a queen-size bed in this house, but it takes up her entire room. This daybed is the perfect layout for getting some floor space back!

I’m incredibly proud of the accessories in this collection. Many parents love taking monthly photos of their little ones, but then wonder where to display them. We dreamed up a unique Gilt First Year Frame for monthly photos that allows you to display a year’s worth of precious memories in one place. It’s a nod to the nostalgic, but in a modern way.

And of course, we have a fantastic selection of new lamps like the Metal Pleated Task Lamp and Leaf Wall Sconces with these beautiful details. And one of the most incredible pieces? An absolutely adorable Bird Cage Nightlight—it’s just the sweetest!

Chris’s favorite piece is the Louis Upholstered Sleigh Bed from the Pottery Barn Teen collection. Sleigh beds were huge in the ’90s, then disappeared for a while, and we wanted to bring them back in a modern, yet traditional way. For this collection, we wanted an upholstered back—for all their nights in bed journaling and listening to music.

I was also searching for a mirrored armoire a couple of years ago and found them incredibly hard to find. Freestanding furniture is making a charming comeback, offering flexibility to arrange rooms for different needs. You can use our spectacular new mirrored Armoire in a nursery, teen bedroom, laundry room, or even a hallway for blanket storage—the possibilities are endless!

We’re always thinking about how to give our Chris Loves Julia + Pottery Barn Teen furniture pieces longevity. Our Writing Desk is a great example. The vanity mirror is removable in case your kid prefers more space!

Another pick? The charming Gallery Framed Mirror Set of 5 that mix and match with art pieces or the Gallery Frame Set we designed in the Pottery Barn Kids collection. I just love their whimsical size for a teen room.
We hope these pieces will become heirlooms for you and your family for years to come. It’s a dream to collaborate on these designs with Pottery Barn Kids and Pottery Barn Teen!
What pieces are you planning to collect from this launch? I can’t wait to see how you style them—tag me on social @chrislovesjulia!
Would you be willing to share the green paint color?
The green in the twin bedroom and nursery at the top kid’s room is Benjamin Moore Lush. The teen room at the end of the post is Benjamin Moore Galapagos Green (flat on wall above chair rail and trim and wall below chair rail in eggshell).
I’m definitely going to be that person wanting to know the blue paint color–this post catches me in a moment when I’m contemplating repainting a bedroom to a blue color and this blue looks so peaceful and airy without reading ‘baby blue’
