There’s one gift me and all of my girlfriends asked for for Christmas–A Dyson cordless vacuum. We’ve had a big upright ball Dyson for a couple years and then right before Thanksgiving, we brought it up to the cabin and forgot it–conveniently the same weekend we were having a bunch of people over for friendsgiving. I panicked–I have a big hairy dog! I can’t not vacuum! Chris ran to the store to pick up a stick vacuum and while the convenience was so nice, I realized very quickly, the suction and power of a Dyson cannot be beat, especially for our home (we need it). I’m converted. Right then I said, let’s look for a Dyson vacuum—cordless!–on Black Friday.

Black Friday came and I bought myself a new Dyson cordless vacuum (I found the best price on Ebay in their Dyson Outlet Store!) and put a big fat bow on it for one minute before I started using it. A lot of people ask me how I keep my house so clean with a big dog and three kids and I’m convinced it has to be convenient and fast and efficient. Over the last few weeks, this cordless Dyson has proved to be all those things. No more winding up a cord or moving the plug as I switch rooms. No going over areas multiple times to get up all the hair. It’s just so fast to clean up a quick mess or a rogue hairball.

Earlier this year, I bought a handheld Dyson for my car and then used it so much around the house, it barely ever saw the inside of my car. But the stick vacuums are convertible to handheld (how did I not even know that!?) So I actually feel like I got two gifts in one. (sorry about all the hair…I wasn’t kidding)

If you are thinking about gifting a Dyson vacuum (handheld, cordless, canister or upright!), or a blow dryer or a desk fan or any of their other top rated products, it’s not too late. eBay’s shipping is super fast and the majority of products ship for free in under 2 days. Almost everything I buy, I check eBay to see if they have it for a better price and they almost always do.

Our new vacuum lives in the garage, right off the laundry room where it automatically charges when it’s not in use. If all that doesn’t sound like a Merry Christmas, I don’t know what would!

Here are a few of my picks from the Dyson outlet on eBay if you’re looking for a great gift!

  1. First off I want to say that I love your blog and think you are so talented. I am had a lot of success with things you recommend but the Ebay Dyson Outlet would definitely not be one of them. After seeing your post in August about the handheld Dyson vacum, I immediately went to the eBay Dyson Oulet page and purchased the cordless V7 vacum and a fan. The vacum arrived but did not work. Literally would not turn on. I contacted The Dyson Outlet and they said they could not “issue a refund or send a new working vacum”. The fan on the other hand never even arrived. I contacted them to inquire why it had not arrived and they said that “it is past the time that they can issue a refund and they are out of that product”. Their “excuses” contradict each other. I am still in a dispute with them through American Express to get my hundreds of dollars back. My friend had a similar situation with her vacum, when it arrived it had no handle. They have yet to issue her a refund or send the part.
Just thought you should know what the company you are recommending is really like. I know in no way you are responsible for this outcome and their shady business tactics.
Keep doing what you are doing, I love all your content (except Dyson Outlet ????)

  2. I have one too and I love it but I don’t know what to do with all the attachments! How do you organize yours so it’s not just a cluttered mess?

  3. I have been researching vacuums , so I read a few of your posts. I am a little confused because In April last year you said you probably would not buy a Dyson again, that they are cheaply made, and that you would be getting a new shark. Now that it is sponsored, you love it. Have you changed your mind? Do you prefer the Dyson or the shark? I will be honest it is confusing for readers when you say one thing when you purchase an item yourself, and another when it is provided for you :

    • Dyson didn’t sponsor this post and has nothing to do with it. And the big ball one we have, although it doesn’t adjust as smoothly, sucks really really well. We purchased this Dyson cordless with our own money and it is amazing!

  4. I think my favorite thing is when you review things like this, I hate doing the research so just go by your reviews, i’m about to buy this, it’s now $189!
