This year’s collection felt different. After five years of creating rug collections with Loloi, we brought this one home. For the first time, we photographed the new Chris Loves Julia x Loloi rug line in our own house, and it felt like so much more than just a photoshoot—it felt like a homecoming.

Our home is a place of constant change—just like us. But it’s also the place we know we can always come back to when we need that comfort, that feeling that you can be truly yourself. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect, as Loloi dubbed this campaign “Homecoming.” It’s a name that resonates deeply with us. To be able to celebrate five years of creating (and enjoying) rugs in the place where we feel the happiest is a feeling we’ll never forget.

This is one of those rugs you’ll want to use in every room. The Palma collection is a timeless rug, featuring medallions as well as smaller, repeated patterns. Every colorway is pretty neutral, so they pair well with many different rooms. I’ve starred the Natural Multi; it has the most beautiful, rich, warm undertone with a little bit of color. I want this in the biggest size—it’s so, so pretty. I have the Wheat Bark in our bedroom, and it’s really pretty. It’s gorgeous, and people would never guess its low price point! Power-loomed of easy-to-clean, no-shed polyester in Turkey, it’s great for high-traffic areas and everywhere in between.

The Calvin Collection ($)
Power-loomed rugs with polypropylene & polyester
We were looking for a budget-friendly yet fun addition to this rug line, and the Calvin was it! Before our big photoshoot with Loloi, the Calvin wasn’t on my radar as a piece for a formal space. We decided to put this rug in our dining room, which was a surprise to me. But once I saw the Pebble Ivory, I loved it. It’s such a soft, geometric rug. It’s not as high-pile as the plaid one, a little lower. I love the colors, and the price point is fantastic. Power-loomed of easy-to-clean, soft polyester in Turkey, Calvin is very durable for any busy areas in your home.

The Rue Collection ($$)
Hand-woven rugs of jute, polyester, and cotton
Our Judy line was very successful, and we wanted to reimagine it with a different style! While the Judy has a very geometric look, we wanted to create the Rue collection with more botanical, organic patterns in a classic English cottage aesthetic. I loved printing colors on this jute-cotton blend; it’s very soft (handwoven in India and Goodweave-certified), and it’s hard to choose a favorite.
We put the Rue rug in Natural Denim in Faye’s room and the Bark Mocha colorway in the entryway. Everyone who has come over has commented on the entry rug. Since it’s a flat rug, you should definitely pair it with a nice rug pad, preferably one that is non-slip and has a little cushion.

The Dorothea Collection ($$)

The Dorothea rug is a 100% wool rug featuring a captivating high-low pattern that lends it a luxurious, high-end allure. This hand-tufted wool rug, made in India and proudly bearing the Goodweave certification, showcases a transitional design style that seamlessly blends traditional elements with a modern aesthetic. The Alfie Collection ($$)

When I flew out to Dallas to see and approve all of these rugs at Loloi in 2024, the Alfie was the one that made me the most excited. We’ve never done a rug like this before: it’s mostly solid with small border designs in some really rich colors. And they can be dressed up or down really easily. The Alfie rug is made in India of 100% wool (and Goodweave-certified), which means it’s going to last forever. I actually haven’t seen a ton of shedding on the ones we have in our house thus far, though wool rugs usually shed a little bit at first (see care tips). I actually had to stop myself from putting an Alfie in every room—I already placed one in the bonus room, another in Polly’s room, and I have three more in my attic that I’m probably going to swap in at some point!

New Pillows for Fall
We added new colors to some of our pillow collections and introduced some new motifs and patterns. You’ll find autumnal colors like chocolate, mushroom, chestnut, mauve, clay, navy—and they all pair beautifully with the colors throughout our Homecoming rug collections. It’s all about the details with these pillows: little ruffles, trim, piping, and textures will be the perfect touch to your living spaces and bedrooms!

The colors in this line are just antiqued to perfection and the materials are so soft that you’ll want to put them everywhere in your home. The entryway? Add a 3′ x 5′ or 5′ x 7 ‘rug! Does anyone know where I can buy the Rue collection, specifically the Olive/Sage 7×9 size with shipping to Hawaii that isn’t $300?? Amazon is out of stock and RugsDirect has a crazy shipping cost to Oahu. I fell in love with this rug for my dining room but I am having trouble talking myself into paying essentially the price of another rug to get it.
Beautiful rugs. The Calvin is the line that speaks the most to me and I am happy to see some round rugs in that line. Round rugs work best in one of our rooms and it is hard to find them.
