Why a cow butcher chart? I specifically remember watching one episode of Good Eats when Alton Brown was going over the different cuts of meat that come from a cow and I remember thinking, "That would make for some great kitchen art." While researching for this drawing, Chris had a good time telling me why this chart is indeed so useful--it gives a visual of why some cuts of meat are more tender than others and why some are better for certain dishes.
As for me, I like that it looks good with the dishes:

Love this! And it would look GREAT in my kitchen! Off to show the hubby! Hint hint, wink wink!
Ahahha I just keep thinking of from Joe Mchale's "The Soup"...Chat Stew... "Sooo Meaty....OHHH!"
Haha! It was the inspiration for my facebook tagline. I admit!
Just so you know, I tagged you!
Excellant!
Girl, don't apologize for bein' a meat lover! I think this may be my most favorite piece you've ever done. This is superb.

I love it! You are so taIented! am going to keep my fingers crossed that you will do the same type of drawing with a pig. My husband would love that! I have been reading your blog for about a year and I haven't commented, but I have to tell you I look forward to your posts everyday!
So cute! I also love it with your dishes!
You know what, I'm a vegetarian (just don't like the taste-no political reasons) but I still like this. It's so useful. And I'm impressed you made it vertically. :)
Love it!
"Alton" is on our short list as a name for a future son. We love him that much. ;)
This is so different but SO AWESOME! Um, we loooove Alton. He is just so dang smart. Always makes me laugh how fast he talks and all the crazy stuff he says. This would look SO awesome in any kitchen.
Whew! Glad it can appeal to anyone. I actually drew it horizontally, but the chalkboard hangs vertically in the laundry room, so it looks a little wonky. hahaha
Really? Off to check it out..
Love it!
