When I am painting, I have loads of time to just think. And if you have seen how many spindles are on our staircase, you know my mind has been spinning lately. It may have hit me what to do with the far wall in the family room. Chew on this!
I agree! We (Chris, too!) both think that the more window we have in there, the more open and airy it will feel. And that's definitely the look we want. Maybe one long panoramic one will due. We'll see where we end up and definitely keep you posted.
Wow, it doesn't look so closed in anymore, and it really did with the sectional wrapping around a corner without ambient light. I give 2 thumbs up to a window!

Just now, I thought...OF COURSE. It looks as if it should have been there the whole time.
My dad put a window in our old house in San Diego and I don't think it was toooo painful without any real professional help.
