Over the weekend, we hit 300,000 followers on Instagram! I remember, in fall of 2015, hitting 10,000 followers. We celebrated that — and every milestone since. But 300,000 is a number that’s nearly unfathomable to us, and we couldn’t be more excited or more grateful to be doing what we’re doing and to be taking so many of you along for the ride. In gratitude and glee (!!!), we’re giving away an entire room makeover, and we’re calling it the #cljtreatment.
What’s the CLJ Treatment? Well, first of all, we’ll be redesigning an entire room in the winner’s home. We’ll work to incorporate your tastes while giving your space the CLJ vibe! This will include a video chat, getting to know your space, and a custom mood board with all of our product recommendations and ideas.
Secondly, we have access to some pretty amazing sponsors and brand partners who want to be involved in our projects — always. We get that this isn’t “normal,” but a part of our job! For this giveaway, we’re sharing our favorite partners and products with you. This giveaway includes more than $10,000 in sponsored furniture, decor and everything to complete your room to blog/Instagram-worthy status, including:

To enter:
1. Post a room photo(s) in your Instagram feed, tagging @chrislovesjulia and hashtagging #CLJtreatment.
2. Create an Instagram story, telling us why your room needs the #CLJtreatment, and add that story to your Highlights so we can find it easily.
3. Follow all of the partners in the giveaway. This isn’t officially a requirement, but your Instagram feed will overflow with inspiration. These are some of our *favorite* partners, and following them will only benefit you!

The Potential of the Room – We’re looking for a space that could really use the CLJ treatment! The room needn’t be dilapidated or have survived a natural disaster — empty walls or funky carpet or mismatched furniture or a space with no clear direction all scream with potential. This is a celebration, so let’s keep it light and fun :)
Quality/Creativity – Your room should be well-photographed, well-lit. We’re looking for a room that could use some love, so the space doesn’t have to look great, but the photo should be crisp and clear. We’d love to meet the family, friends, and/or pets with whom you share the space! Maybe you want to do something cute like hold a sign that says, “#CLJTreatment, please!” on it :) Be creative, have fun, focus on quality!
Likes – The winner MUST live in the US (sorry!) but we’ll be calling on the help of ALL our 300K+ followers to help us choose the room with the most potential and the entry with the most creativity. They’ll vote with their “likes,” so make sure to hashtag #CLJtreatment and spread the love by voting for your favorite entries on that hashtag, too. (Chris and I will choose the winner among the top five most-liked posts.)

One of the top accounts winning with seems to have paid for likes. If you look at all their likes, it’s all foreign accounts and spam accounts. They also jumped into 4th place almost overnight. And their number of likes keep jumping insanely fast. I would hope this isn’t true and they somehow know someone from overseas or it’s just taken off on its own but just wanted to raise your attention to it bc it seems some of the other people have really rallied friends and family to help campaign for it.
It’s been interesting watching this process. Are you going to eliminate contestants that purchased likes? I feel bad for the contestants that have worked hard for likes.
I don’t know of anyone that has purchased likes.Do you have proof of this?

Can I enter as a gift for our daughter-in-law (and son too!) She is a rock star mom and wife and DIL. She has full command of the house and kiddos when our son is at work for several days, and then seamlessly shares parenting and life when he returns!!! I know that she’d really love to turn the playroom into a combo room, guest/playroom. And she really likes your style too. They are expecting baby #3 in November! So, if possible, I’d LOVE to surprise her with that????????
I debated entering this contest but I don’t feel comfortable changing my private Instagram (filled with mostly photos of my kids) to public in order to enter. I guess we all have our own ‘security systems’ and that is part of mine – sigh, it sounds like fun though! Congrats on hitting the 300,000 number!
Awe man, I missed the part (initially) where it says the winner is based on likes. Bummer for us with small Instagram accounts ????. Whoever wins is one lucky person!
Try it!! That’s what we’re doing!!! Nowhere near influencer status haha. But everyone I know has been resharing. Not in top 5 yet but working for it!! (Wish it were top 10 ????). It’s not too late!

As someone who has followed you guys for a long time, I was so excited to potentially win a room design by you. Your new kitchen is what dreams are made of! I entered the contest and rallied people to like my post. I learned that I have way more people routing for me than I thought (not just in this contest). I don’t have a lot of likes but some of the top people have some “big bloggers and designers” rooting for them. I will never get the 20,000 likes as some but here’s hoping you enjoyed my video!
My daughter entered and I have watched the same thing. The top few accounts all have sat at the same numbers all week long because a big influencer shared their page and they got a big burst of likes. One even had someone with a million followers share and her video went in the lead overnight. It’s too bad for everyone else.
