Jess had a budget of around $500-$700 and wanted it to feel cozy and romantic. So I whipped up (I say that casually--these things I invest a lot of time in and I usually end up wanting to redecorate after I'm done) this mood board for the newlyweds:
Here's how it breaks down (the abridged version):
1. (Benjamin Moore's Richmond Gray)
2. A black-brown, versatile, affordable bed.
3. Crisp, white bedding
So I FINALLY took pics of the finished room, mainly because I finally hung the lamps yesterday! They sat in boxes forever. Sorry the pics are a little grainy, I took them on my phone so the quality is kinda ehh. Don't mind the cat chillin' in the pics, he's a camera ham.
I can't thank you enough for your design with our room! We had a blast painting and redecorating, and now love coming up to this space. Also, I am now and forever a Benny Moore pain fan, that stuff is incredible, I feel like we could have put one coat up and been done!
Thanks a million! We couldn't have done this without your design! :) Happy New Year!
Check it out:
eeeeek! Is this still something you do....nearly 4 years later (I'd LOOOOOVE a mood board)!
Nice makeover!....just wondering if you are going to be adding more art on esty.
Definitely! I have some paintings in the works right now. Keep your eyes peeled.
time out, is the cat real or stuffed? justtt kidddding
I love the cat, how fun to do the board. Very fun!!
It must be so nice to see a mood board that you created come to life and then to see the other personal touches they add! Can't wait to get a design job and do this for a living!
Haha, I always ask clients to send me photos of their pet portraits with the pets, and every once in a great while... they do! And it makes my whole day.
Also, Steelers fans, yay!
(And I love that dresser from the inspiration photo!)
Kim! Of course they are Steelers fans--I was born and raised in Pittsburgh! (Went to high school with this girl) Every time I see a "Go Pens" from you, I mean to tell you that.
WHAT! Oh my goodness. Soul mates. You and me.
The final product looks great! It has to be wonderful to see your mood boards come to life!
