Designing a nursery is such a sentimental milestone, but I’ve always believed that “baby” doesn’t have to mean “juvenile.” Whether you’re working with a small 10×10 footprint or a sprawling suite, the goal is always the same: creating a sanctuary that feels elevated, timeless, and a true reflection of your style.

We’ve been lucky enough to help some of our favorite people—from family to former team members—bring their nursery dreams to life. From a moody, traditional space for my new niece Gigi, to a nature-inspired, serene space for our friends, The Fullmers, these rooms prove that you can mix high-style design with the practical, cozy needs of a newborn.
If you’re looking for nursery design inspiration, I’ve rounded up five of our favorite reveals featuring heirloom-quality pieces from our Chris Loves Julia + Pottery Barn Kids collection.
Featured Nurseries:

- Nature-Inspired: A forest mural paired with classic walnut furniture.

- Big Girl Transition: Equestrian details for a feminine, vintage-inspired bedroom.
- Moody Woodland: Dark beadboard and whimsical forest wallpaper for a cozy, elevated boy’s room.

Andi’s Traditional Nursery for Baby Girl Gigi
I was so excited to share the nursery reveal for my sister Andi’s newest addition, Gigi! We designed a charming 10×10 space, taking inspiration from Andi’s baby shower invites with their creamy-yellow and purple color scheme. We wanted the room to feel peaceful and serene, so we started with a beautiful creamy yellow wallpaper and brought in the purple with paint. To add charm and make the room feel larger, we installed box trim in the color Ash Violet. The traditional-style legs on the Pottery Barn Kids turned wood dresser and crib are so charming in this space. A gold-tinged mobile over the Chris Loves Julia Swivel Glider was the finishing touch. It was such a special project, and I can’t wait to see this room grow up with Gigi!

Kelsi’s Nature-Inspired Nursery for Baby Boy Freddy
We poured so much love into creating this cozy and calm nursery space for our friends, the Fullmers. To start, it’s filled with so many pieces from our Pottery Barn Kids collection – you know, that comfy glider rocker that’s probably the most-used piece in the room, the gorgeous dark walnut dresser that holds all his tiny clothes, and the sweetest convertible crib. We really wanted to bring a touch of nature indoors with adorable forest animal accents, and we mixed in some classic stripes and plaids for a timeless feel. The walls are painted in the most beautiful Benjamin Moore Wales Gray, and that peel & stick mural wallpaper adds such a fun focal point! We finished it off with a super soft wool rug (over carpet!) and some sweet little display frames to make it feel just right. We are absolutely in love with how it all came together!

Ashtyn’s Classic Americana Nursery for Baby Boy Parks
This nursery nails a sophisticated blend of Classic Americana and a National Park/Outdoors theme, proving that a baby’s room doesn’t have to sacrifice elevated style! The foundation is built on rich, dark wood furniture like the heirloom-quality crib and dresser, beautifully contrasted by a warm, neutral palette of creamy walls and tan board and batten wainscoting. They layered a chic, patterned rug over the carpet for extra texture and warmth, which instantly elevates the cozy factor.

Jenn’s Pretty in Pink Bedroom Makeover for Her Daughter
We love all of the sweet details that Jenn put into updating her 9-year-old daughter’s bedroom. Who wouldn’t absolutely love this space?! The equestrian details and our dark turned wood bed-frame, and nightstands add a classic, vintage dimension to this floral, feminine space.

Jessica’ss Moody Woodland Nursery for Baby Boy
We loved seeing how Jessica (@_stylishmama_) created this dark and moody aesthetic for her baby boy’s nursery. The dark tones of the wood dresser and the black spindle crib add a layer of sophisticated, vintage-inspired charm that feels anything but juvenile. She layered in a plush, patterned rug and a classic pinstriped glider to keep the room feeling soft and inviting. It’s a perfect example of how bold color and pattern can make a small room feel incredibly high-end and soulful.

Emy’s Preppy Heritage Nursery for Baby Boy Myles
Emy designed this nursery that truly elevates “Preppy Heritage” style, blending timeless sophistication with a palette of warm taupes and creams. Anchored by floor-to-ceiling plaid wallpaper and classic picture frame molding, the room provides a perfect backdrop for the rich, dark wood of our Chris Loves Julia + Pottery Barn Kids turned wood crib and dresser. She added a sense of history with vintage gold accents—from delicate wall sconces to a curated gallery wall of heirloom-style frames. It’s an intentional, collected space that proves traditional design is a perfect fit for a modern nursery.
