A couple weeks ago, when our new refrigerator arrived, there were few less-than-ideal details that came along with its arrival (read all about the door dents and water spills here).  One thing, that continued to haunt days after the delivery were all the fingerprints that arrived with our new appliance.  The truth is: stainless steel attracts fingerprints.  So far, it is the only downside about our new fridge–we are LOVING that appliance btw!  And thanks to all of your recommendations, we found a product that takes care of those fingerprints.
My good friend, Amy, told me about them and I had to try it for myself after unsuccessful attempts at removing fingerprints with white vinegar and also oil.  We were definitely looking for a greener product and this is about as green as it gets.  Get this:  all you need is water and this cloth.  The fingerprints came off.  At first I was a little discouraged because I wasn’t seeing much of a difference, but I quickly realized if I went with the grain of the steel, they lifted right off.  Woot.

I noticed on the little piece of paper that arrived with the cloth, it talked about using it on a variety of surfaces, including windows, mirrors, granite, wood–all with just water.  So, after my fridge, I cleaned our entryway mirror and a few windows and our television.  I have to admit, I am puzzled.  There were no streaks left behind and I was just using water!  I loved how I didn’t have any chemical smells lingering and I could move from surface to surface without carrying anything but a cloth.  Then, just rinse and reuse. Very nice.
Of course, I wouldn’t expect you to just take my word for it (step aside Levar Burton).  The great folks at Gleen are tossing in a dozen of these cloths for our readers to try, too.  12 winners!

  4. Giddy for GLEEN!

When we moved into our apartment, all of the grout between the tiles was black (as opposed to it’s original color of light grey) so I’ve been going crazy trying to remove the dirt!
