This morning I set aside my usual paint brushes and opted for a much smaller one to add a spring touch of pink to my little nails (Essie's Mod Square is too sweet for words). Let's face it, long nails and an avid DIYer just don't go together--not even for a wedding. Wedding bound, I am--and Pittsburgh bound, my hometown that I've been away from for too long.
My sister, Victoria, is marrying her partner Jenn (the actual ceremony is in D.C.) and I am flying in just in time to bag 200 s'mores for the "picnic-chic" reception.
I am so excited to see my relatives that I haven't seen in years and to have my whole family (I have 4 sisters, ya know) all in one place for the wedding weekend. Although I will miss Chris and little Greta, they seem equally excited to have time together here. My to-do list is a mile long today, and unfortunately as much as I am itching to tackle the latest doorstep arrival...
it's gonna have to wait until I get back. Happy early weekend to you and I'll see you Monday for a giveaway!
Anyone else have a wedding to attend this weekend??
Or as mom calls them... wedgies.
I'm in a wedding in NC Saturday and my baby girl is the flower girl:) I love your blog!!
You're gonna look great. Have so much fun at the wedding! And I can't wait for you to get back so I can see how that floor of yours turns out. So excited for that. I'm wanting to just buy a few of the tiles now even though we have no place to decorate. I'm crazy!
Be safe now!
Love the blouse!!! And those shoes!!!! You must tell me where I can find those. I am always in the market for brown strapy wedges. I still haven't found the perfect pair.
Fly safe! Have fun! Take pics! And let me know how ahem tonight goes....I heard the results won't show up fully for a day or so....
Have fun! Your sister looks so much like you. It is such a pretty picture.
I linked the shoes and the top in the caption of the picture. The shoes are to-die-for comfy. And since the wedding is outdoors--a wedge is the only way to go.
P.s. you know I'll tell you every last detail. :)
Yay, who doesn't love a wedding?! And a sister's wedding -- forget it! (Although I hope you do better than me with the full on ugly cry all the way through my sister's ceremony. Nice.) Have fun! Can't wait to see the flor in action when you get back.
