You know I’m passionate about home fragrance. I think great home design touches all of the senses. That’s why I became obsessed with Pura a few years ago. And every season, they come out with even more amazing fragrances.

We have a home fragrance diffuser on each floor of our house — maybe every room? I love to change them up seasonally, and I recently tested 30 scents. I narrowed it down to all of my favorites for spring—including some long-time favorites that keep making the list!

Studio McGee’s White Bergamot

This scent is citrusy and floral and fresh. It smells like sunrise in a quiet house. The grapefruit blossom and green vetiver are so enchanting. I’m padding around before everyone wakes up, and the light is coming in through the kitchen windows…

Pura x Dutjahn’s Somewhere Land

This one is really cozy. It smells like a sun-warmed exotic wood with the amber and sandalwood notes. The honey scent is prominent and pure—like a honey stick in your afternoon tea. This new collection uses sustainably sourced sandalwood and is my favorite of Pura’s newest collaboration!

LAFCO New York’s French Lilac

You think with the words “French lilac” that you’re going to get grandma, and you don’t! This is a heady smell, and it reminds me of a pool house, surrounded by lilac bushes. The lemon and orange balance out the sweetness in a way that is just giving spring.

Thymes’s Riviera Fig

Are we going sailing today? Yes, please! This one smells like an expensive silk scarf on a European vacation. There’s fresh fruit in your bag, and you’re strolling by the sea. This scent is a little sweeter with French rose and blood orange—and transporting.

Studio McGee’s Violet Fig

I love anything fig! This one has a deep richness. The violet feels really spring, and the notes of rose, musk, and sandalwood make this one smell expensive. This is a great all-over-the-house scent, which is actually what I’m thinking of doing for our home next!

Bridgewater’s Afternoon Retreat

This is a repeat favorite that has a little bit of a masculine undertone that I love. It’s clean and musky. I would pop this in my bathroom Pura — an intoxicating fresh-out-of-the-shower scent.

Pura’s Citrus Leaves

This one smells like new green growth. There’s so much spring freshness here, like all the windows are open. This is a great kitchen fragrance that doesn’t smell like food.

Studio McGee’s Cardamom Blossom

This is a really masculine floral scent. It smells like velvet flowers. It smells like cashmere sweaters. You’ll want to cuddle up in this one. Notes of “fresh air, lily, and spices mingle with creamy musk and driftwood.” Yes, absolutely. This is my top pick for spring—it’s a must-have for me!

Brooklyn Candle’s Santorini

Oh Santorini! This one smells like I’m at a resort, and it’s been a winner for me before. It’s warm and sunny and luxurious. There are notes of Mediterranean fig, red currant, amber, and sandalwood. It’s a trip to the Greek Isles. My number 2 pick for spring!

Unify Co.’s Salt

It may seem odd to have your home smell like your personal fragrance, but this one makes me change my mind. I wear Unify Co.’s Salt as a perfume. It’s that good. “Warm citrus notes mingle with clary sage, freesia, and softwoods.”

Moodcast’s BFF

This one smells freshly sweet—in a good way. Close your eyes, and you’re walking through a garden. Notes of white gardenia, creamy tuberose, and crisp peppermint. There’s something regal about this scent.

Pura x Dutjahn’s Ochre Heart

This one takes me back to Sedona. I’m at the spa, and plum and patchouli are hanging in the air. This one feels both peaceful and indulgent.

Which scents have captured your attention this spring?! Let me know which ones I should try! If you’re looking for even more Pura Scents you can find more of my picks for spring scents and the year-round scents I keep on hand in the CLJ Shop!

  1. Aromatiq’s The Smell of Spring just dropped at Pura. My signature home scent for all of spring for years. Heavily hyacinth.
