Even as an adult, there's something so fun about the back-to-school season. I love decluttering desks, packing backpacks, and filling lunch boxes — it feels like everything topsy-turvy about summer is rooted in routine again. Greta is headed off to high school this year (how did that happen so fast!?), and Faye and Polly are moving up in grade school. So I'm taking stock of our supplies, clearing the storage spaces and desk drawers, and gathering pencils, notepads, and flashcards to help them on their way.
The girls have their go-to backpacks and lunch boxes picked out, but I always love to pick up a few things to reset the home for the season. For younger ages, back to school is often just as much about the parents as the kids — we're the ones "organizing" the kids' stuff and helping plan their activities! These are the things that I immediately saved to make our lives easier this season. Here's to a clean slate!
Writing Pencils $16: Nothing says back-to-school like a set of new pencils. Bonus points if they're as pretty as the ones in this set!
2-Tier Letter Tray $15: A simple and affordable solution to all of those school papers that come home.
1st Day of School Banner Bundle $145: This has got to be the cutest prop for first day of school photos! Comes in a set or as individual banners.
Picnic Stripe Doormat $30: Back to school means more foot traffic, and this schoolhouse stripe is up to the task.
Travel Mug $30: For that morning carline pick me up, this insulated mug is my new go-to.
Acrylic Weekly Calendar $34: I love this for planning meals and after school activities and it would look so cute sitting out on the kitchen counter.
Oversized Wall Hooks $39: These hooks stopped me in my tracks... the scale, the details! Perfect for hanging coats and backpacks in an entry or mudroom.
Electric Pencil Sharpener $16: I've been on the hunt for a pencil sharpener that looks good enough to sit out on my desk... just ordered this one!
Hatch Restore $199: The sunrise alarm is such a game-changer for kids (and adults).

I haven't released my official 2025 trend predictions, but the fisherman aesthetic is one of the early styles of the year that has completely enraptured me. This trend is a departure from everyone's favorite coastal grandma look, which features Nancy Meyer-inspired whites, khakis, and soft blues. This aesthetic is your Wes Anderson's The Life Aquatic […]
It's the most exciting day of the year!!! The day we get to share with all of you the projects we have planned for the upcoming year. Last year was a really big year growing year for our business side of things; with our team and with our product lines. Each and every collaboration is […]
This is the soup I want when I'm feeling on the verge of "under the weather"—not quite sick, but the cold outside is draining me a little bit. There's the feeling that you could get sick. That's when you want a spicy soup. I like this chicken noodle soup with the flavors of Singapore noodles: […]
Every year, I find myself trying another wellness thing. I love habit stacking (pairing a new habit I want to create with a good one I have already established) but I like to take it easy and only add one or two new things a year and really focus on them so they can stick […]
