Today is Greta’s birthday! We had a hard, hard day yesterday (if you follow us on Facebook, you know all about the paint catastrophe), but today we are celebrating, and maybe tomorrow I’ll work on removing more evidence of pink paint.  No more sad tears today. I feel like Greta has been in our lives for an eternity.  In a good way.  She makes us happy, whole, tired, excited, active, funny, parents.  Watch what we say. Watch what we do.  She makes us better people.  She makes us a family. What on earth did I do before Greta?!  (Hint. My house was always clean and I was 15 pounds heavier!)
Greta has always been the most active child I have ever met. She loves to run! And jump! And never stops moving.  And never stops getting into stuff.  When she was a baby, she would empty all of the kitchen drawers and now she is emptying whole closets, and lotion containers…and paint cans.  She is creative and sweet and sassy. And holy cow—three!
Last night we snuck 70 some balloons in her bedroom while she was sleeping and she woke up and went “swimming” in them.
And then I threw some more in her morning bath. (Who needs bubbles?!)
Happy Birthday Greta.  We love you and shhh, you’re our favorite child! ;)
PS. The day Greta was born (a video!) and her birth story (it’s short)!
