Whether you’re looking for a new TV, headphones, or smart devices, Amazon Prime Day is usually one of the year’s best chances to grab unbeatable prices.
For starters, any Amazon smart devices—we’re talking the Echo or smart plugs that I have in nearly every living area in house—are often up to 50% off. And then there’s brand names like Bose, Samsung, LG, and more, who mark down their flagship products by $100+. I’m always kicking myself if I order these in spring only to watch them drop down low over Prime Day. Don’t make my mistake—order them when they’re on sale!

To help you sort through the pages upon pages of tech deals, we’re rounding up our top 5 best buys. These are products we own and love—they may be a bigger investment, but they last for years and even enhance your life. Without further ado, let’s dive in!

LG Portable TV $999 $799
The fix for not wanting a permanent TV in our living room turned out to be this portable one — it rolls easily from room to room and runs cordlessly, so it goes wherever we need it. We’ve pulled it out for karaoke nights, parked it in the girls’ rooms on sick days, and even used it for a slideshow at my mom’s 70th. It was sold out for months, and it’s now at its lowest price in the past year.

Bose QuietComfort Headphones $359 $179
These took top place in our over-ear headphones product test. They are supremely comfortable, they have excellent noise-canceling abilities, and the sound was by far the best in its class. They’re usually over $350, so now is the time to scoop them up!

55″ Samsung Frame TV $1,097 $697
We have two Frame TVs in our home, and their art mode is so high-quality that we wrote a whole review on them. When a TV is in a main living areas (like our bonus room), I want it to look like decor when it’s not in use. The Frame TV is unparalleled with the matte, picture-like quality it can achieve. We even rounded up our favorite art screensavers, so you can get a moody, traditional look any time of year.

Kindle Paperwhite $159 $124
I’ve read more this past year than I have in ages, and I credit this little Kindle Paperwhite for most of it. It slips into a bag without a thought, the screen reads like real paper even in bright sun by the pool, and a single charge lasts me through weeks of bedtime chapters. There’s something to be said for a device that does one thing and does it beautifully — no notifications, no temptation to scroll, just the book in front of you.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro $212 $149
These earbuds are the ones that Chris got me to try after years of staying loyal to my Apple AirPods. What can I say except I’ve converted to Samsung now! The sound quality is incredible, whether I’m listening to an audiobook on a walk or on a call. The battery life is an hour longer (which does make a difference). Also, my Apple Airpods kept connecting to the girls’ Apple devices on trips. It was frustrating to have to keep changing the output. They’ve held up great so far. You have to give them a try if you’re in the market for new ones!

Smart Plugs $24 $12
The thing I stock up on every Prime Day — we use these smart plugs to set our lamps to turn on automatically (or just by saying “Alexa, it’s lamp o’clock”). They’re programmable through the Alexa app, so the possibilities are truly endless.

Oura Ring $349 $226
The Oura ring has been one of the best investments I’ve made for my health. It takes about three months to truly get to know you, but the insights start on day one — and the data has been life-changing. It tells me whether I went to bed too early or too late for my chronotype (I’m an early morning type, which finally explained why rising with the sun has always felt right), tracks my heart rate so it knows the difference between stress and a workout, and even tells me where I am in my cycle. I set mine to a stress goal this year, and watching my resilience climb as I made small changes has been its own kind of motivation.
