Turn Your Backyard into a Dreamy English Garden with These Ideas

Slightly blushing blooms. Sweet scalloped details. Verdant greenery. Old English browns and creams. Is there anything more charming than an English garden?? I've been envisioning hosting a backyard party in a month or two as our first outdoor entertaining of the year, and the look all just came together in this mood board with things I found at Wayfair.
The idea all started with this beautiful teapot that I got to put on my kitchen shelves... Seriously the moment I saw it, I had to get my hands on it! It looks like it belongs in a charming little cottage in the Cotswolds, passed down from a beloved Nan. From there, the whole design just spilled out.
In this roundup, I'm completely smitten with how the warm, earthy browns in the rug and trellis complement the clay terracotta of the planters. And the pops of green – from the vibrant emerald on the platter to the perfectly manicured topiary – just make my heart sing. The sky blue of the umbrella evokes spring so well, and the cloud blush of the ranunculus? You can't tell me those aren't real! So. Stunning.
Check out what I've rounded up to turn your backyard into an English garden with these finds from Wayfair:
Faux Ranunculus Stems (set of 24) $37 Faux stems are my way of ushering in spring at home, even when it's still winter outside... I can't help myself! The price per stem on these faux ranunculus is incredible ($1.50/stem!)
Outdoor Umbrella $159 I'd design an entire outdoor space around this umbrella. The color, the scalloped edge, the white piping detail... it's just too good.
Wood Trellis Panels (set of 2) $164 I can't think of anything more classic English garden than a trellis. Add some climbing roses or wisteria (what we added to our backyard last summer) and you've got a romantic backdrop for your outdoor space.
Fitz & Floyd Serving Platter $72 A beautiful addition to any spring table. I'd leave it out on the counter all season long.
Boxwood Topiary (set of 2) $55 For those of us without a green thumb (or who just love the idea of no-maintenance plants), a faux topiary is your new BFF.
Monogrammed Doormat $39 The stripes! The monogram! Adding to cart immediately.
Bunny Wall Hook $29 For that little touch of whimsy every space needs.
Tiered Serving Stand $61 For serving those little tea sandwiches, cupcakes, and everything in between.
Other items I'm loving for an English garden party this spring:
Lace Cafe Curtains (set of 2) $28 Similar to what we used in Greta's bathroom, these add some privacy and a little touch of romance.
Planter Box $339 I love the classic moulding on the outside of this planter.
Scalloped Rattan Basket $239 What can I say? I love a scalloped basket. I especially love them in kids' rooms as clothes hampers or toy storage.
Footed Umbrella Stand $182 The little feet really add that unexpected element, and I'm here for it.
Terracotta Planter $64 Fill it with plants (real or faux) for your dining table or patio and you've got instant charm.
White Scallop 12-Piece Dinnerware Set $159 I love a using my white dishes and layering seasonal plates and bowls on top for dinner parties. This is a beautiful set for a great price!
Outdoor Patio Sofa with Sunbrella Cushions $2,524 I love black and white for outdoor furniture, white cushions look so crisp against the bright green foliage of spring and summer. I especially love the black piping on the cushions here.

It's the end of the day, the kids are finally asleep, and I'm craving something a little...indulgent. But you know me, I'm all about balance! We've been having a blast playing with the Ninja SLUSHi for parties, so you may have heard about that lately, but when it comes to my individual desserts, my heart […]
We're all pulled toward homes that feel like homes—not just model houses. A bright place where you can kick your shoes off and curl up with a good book. That's why I think we're all just a little bit obsessed with the Nancy Meyers aesthetic right now, and honestly, can you blame us? With her […]
Easter is so late this year (April 20!?) that I feel more prepared than usual. I'm already grabbing some cute pajamas, little trinkets, and candies for my girls' Easter baskets. It's nice to feel ahead of the game for filling their baskets for once—although I don't know if the candy will last! Shop The Full […]
You know when you find the perfect inspiration that will be a focal point of a renovation? Well, plastered range hoods have been my architectural design crush for ages in kitchens. I mean, that arched silhouette? Swoon. Kitchen Sources When it came time to redesign our Modern Colonial kitchen after we moved in, I was […]
