This month has been full of cauliflower disguised as mashed potatoes, spaghetti squash subbing for pasta, and our new grill got plenty of delicious action. We developed a new love for black beans and fresh tomatoes and avocados. Asparagus never tasted so good. Chris couldn't have another salad for lunch after the first week, but I am still a sucker for spinach. It's been a tasty 3 weeks, but less than perfect--especially when you add in the caramel corn we HAD TO HAVE (twice) and the two times we went out to eat and splurged and the birthday cake we ate for Greta. I have learned you have to let yourself have a treat if you feel like you need it, or you'll go crazy and one day you might eat an entire jar of peanut butter. (That really happened to a lady from my mission who was dieting...she called me in tears one night because she ate an entire JAR OF PEANUT BUTTER.) So we had a couple treats every now and then that tasted good, but made me feel ill every time. I haven't been cleared for exercise yet, but Chris-baby has been getting on the elliptical 5 days a week and I am so proud of him. It's so much easier to achieve goals when you have someone working with you.
Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! You losing and I'm packing on. More proof of my theory that the world can only sustain so much weight and it just keeps getting transferred around.
Good for you guys!!!!!!!
