There's nothing like kicking off fall with a new house tour! I love making these videos. They feel like a bookmark in time, capturing the mood and the feeling of our home in the season of life we're in now. I have some newly redone spaces to share (the mudroom! Greta's bedroom! The landing! The entry! The dining room! So many spaces have updated recently), and some of our favorite spaces revamped for cozy autumn vibes.
In the video, I'm sharing some of my go-to tricks for decorating for fall in a moody, traditional way. Sometimes it's the simple things—a flush of tapered candles, a bowl of russet pears, a host of faux pumpkins—that can give me the ambiance I want. They're the perfect backdrop for "entertaining season" after all!
Without further ado, grab some candy corn snack mix and a comfy seat as I take you for a personal tour of our home. (And scroll below to replay our past house tours to see how much it has changed over the years!)

Stunning and so warm and welcoming. Just realized - no basement? Is that typical in NC?
That's true—-basements are uncommon here because of our clay soil.
