Mastering That Undeniably Cool Heritage Golf Look

There’s so much I love about the old-world golf aesthetic—those moody clubhouses, the rich greens, warm browns, and crisp whites. There’s something so appealing about that to me! And with Chris getting more into golf, (hence including four golf items on this year’s Father’s Day gift guide), it’s been so much fun to share this passion with him. Ok, by share, I mean I’m the one sitting in the golf cart the whole time, but hey, I’m there for moral support. It’s just the whole world of golf that really appeals to me, and I just had to create a mood board of the clothes, furniture, and home decor that would be my take on the quintessential golf lifestyle.

To me, the golf aesthetic is all combining traditional elegance with classic sporting elements.

We’re talking pieces like a vintage golf course map that looks like it has stories to tell, a perfectly worn-in brown leather golf glove, and, gasp, that classic dark green tufted leather armchair. You know, the one you just want to sink into after a long day.

And for the clothes? I’m skipping anything too saccharine and going straight for those deep, beautiful colors – even a nod to the rich hues you find in Scottish tartans. Then, to really seal the deal, we’ve got these incredible accessories: a gleaming silver trophy, a perfectly framed vintage photograph (hello, instant character!), and that heritage-inspired dark olive green suitcase with its gorgeous brown leather trim.

It all comes together to create this truly upscale, timeless feel. For me, this style is all about refined leisure, embracing classic design, investing in quality materials, and giving a respectful nod to the sport’s amazing history.
