You may recall a few months ago when we helped our friends renovate their bathroom in about a week for $3000. It was a fun project that we did with Lowe's, and we absolutely love how it turned out. You can read about the project here, but this is what their bathroom looked like after the project:

This bathroom, though small, came with a lot of challenges. It was in an old home, nothing was standard, and there were some interested things to figure out. But that's what renovation is, right? We ordered the linked faucet. It seems that the included pop up drain is meant for sinks with overflow. Did you buy separate parts?
Did you end up going with a different mirror? This one looks longer than the one in your pictures.
Did you use quarter inch or half inch hardie board?

I will say, the marble lover in me was a bit alarmed when I heard you were using vinegar (albeit diluted) on unsealed marble tile. Were you concerned at all about the etching?
We weren't, because of how diluted it was and how quickly we worked to wipe it up. But you're right to be cautious. There weren't any issues with this tile, but there are natural stone cleaners that can be used, though they do take a bit more work. We always encourage asking the pros you buy your tile from what is best. :)
I'm so excited about these videos! I went from thinking of just painting my vanity to wanting to replace it with one that suits my needs better. Also read "4 in-depth, how-to" as "4 inch depth, how-to". :) This spring forward time change is really messing with me!

I'm so excited to watch these videos later! Our guest bath needs some help and I'm loving the idea of a fiberglass surround. I had one at an old apartment and I loved how easy it was to keep clean. I know myself and cleaning bathrooms is not my forte. A tiled shower is probably more beautiful in theory, but not when you never clean it...
EEEE! I am so HAPPY and excited to see these videos! I have a small bathroom that will need "doing" in a year or so...if I can stand it that long, and I was hoping to lower some costs by doing as much of the work as I could myself. But, I was scared to try chaning out the light fixture and tiling the floor myself. I feel much more confident now! Thank you!
PS. Planking bathroom walls seems pretty popular right now, but I was worried about wood in a small bathroom, due to ventilation...no concerns about the effect of moisture on the wood?)
An alternative we are using in our bathroom is woodgrain fibre cement planks. Designed to go outside so perfect for wet areas. Here is a pic of what I mean. I'm in Australia so not sure what you call it.
