Everyone gets excited to decorate for fall (same!) but an often overlooked element of decorating is how a home smells. Scent is such a powerful tool in making your home feel warm, welcoming, and seasonal. When I think about fall scents I definitely want some spicy or woodsy notes in there like cardamom, amber and cedar. Then I want it to be rounded out with a little bit of sweetness like a great plum or fig scent. You can always go for an obvious fall scent like Pumpkin Spice & Black Walnut (smells so heavenly... like a not-too-sweet pumpkin pie coming out of the oven) or something more year-round like Egyptian Sandalwood.

I jumped onboard the Pura wagon, but most of the scents I’ve tried are way too perfume-y for my allergy sensitivity. I’ve bought several that I actually threw away, just couldn’t handle, gave me a migraine.
