Well, we tried to have a reveal for you today. Kind of. I spent the whole day yesterday sanding and painting our old vanity to bring it up to par with the rest of the room, but around 3 pm, the paint started acting weird and peeling and it wasn't looking the greatest. Chris suggested buying a new vanity and I couldn't say no. When your husband says, "Maybe we better just get a new piece of furniture." You say yes. So, after he was done with work, we drove the 45 minutes to Ikea and picked out a vanity that we loved and then on the way home, before our Home Depot stop to pick up a toilet seat and caulk--we stopped for dinner. And really enjoyed it. Salad and sandwiches at Zuppas isn't fancy, but it was so nice to be sitting down and eating together and laughing and then I realized, stopping for this sit-down dinner meant we probably wouldn't get the laundry room done tonight, and I felt okay about that. This trumps projects:
(Our fall family picture!) That said, the vanity will look gorg. The gallery I hung up this morning looks amazing. And we still gotta figure out the plumbing for that darn sink. Monday. Reveal. Promise.
Tonight we are gonna do more of what I talked about above--the laughing and eating part. Maybe even carve some pumpkins. What's on your agenda??
Gorgeous family pic. Glad you got a chance to relax and enjoy time together. It's always important to keep priorities straight. Looking forward to seeing the big reveal! http://chaoticdomestic.blogspot.com
Oh my goodness, your family is the cutest. And you are SO pretty. For realsies. I've only ever eaten at Zuppa's once, but I loved it. Glad you guys got to sit down for a breather. We're doing a Zombie race tomorrow in downtown Denver. Dressed to the nines, of course. ;)

Here's something you don't need me to tell you, but I'm telling you anyway: You get to choose whether you want to paint your ceiling or not! But, still, almost daily, I get asked "Why don't you paint that ceiling the color of the walls?" If you've never tried painting a ceiling and you're considering […]
I'm back at it today with the Asian-inspired flavors. I always seem to lean that way in my recipes, but why would I use less flavor when I can fill my kitchen with the scent of ginger, garlic, and chilies?! Thai Basil Beef is one of my all-time favorite things to order for takeout. What […]
