The flooring samples for the mudroom arrived, and I've been trying out every color combination imaginable. We decided to go with Fireclay Tile because they have a wide variety of colors and shapes, and the moment I unboxed the samples, I knew it was the right choice. Initially, I thought of doing either a black-and-white checkered flooring or a black-and-white hex pattern until this Instagram account tagged me in their post, which stopped me in my tracks.
They created eight mock-ups inspired by our mudroom plans, all AI-assisted. My jaw hit the floor.
Seeing those images, plus going through the tile samples, got me all swoony over the red and cream color combo. That combo, in a checkered pattern, might satisfy the drama I've been craving for this space. We still have a bit of time before all the design plans need finalizing, but as of right now, I'm trusting my gut on this!
