Before I married Chris, I used to be more of a dessert person when I’d go out to eat. After we got married, I transitioned to being more of an appetizer person. And that was because of two reasons: 1) He’s more of an appetizer guy, and 2) I find it hard to find desserts that are dairy-free, gluten-free, and grain-free these days. However, when I DO find one, an allergy-friendly dessert has to be one of the most exciting thing in my life! Thank goodness for Chris, who tries to craft recipes that allow me to indulge in something a little sweet too. If you’re looking for something comforting for the end of the meal, try one of these treats!
(P.S. – If you want Chris’s favorite brands for dairy alternatives, check this post out!)

Chris’s Favorite Tools for Desserts (aka “Our Ninja Family”)
The Ninja Creami – We’ve had this ice cream maker for a few years now, and it’s one of our most used dessert makers. Each batch makes 3-4 servings, so we get a couple extra pint containers for the family. Making ice cream and sorbets couldn’t be easier!
The Ninja Slushi – This slushie maker joined the crew last fall, right in time for holiday parties. We’ve thrown plain apple cider in. We’ve thrown eggnog in. It’s great for those frosty soda cravings. Just make sure you add some kind of sugar alternative (like monk fruit sweetener) if you’re using diet drinks so the mix freezes properly.
The Ninja Swirl – This is the newest addition to our shelf, and it’s probably the kids’ favorite. Who are we kidding though, it’s so nostalgia that we love it too! You can turn almost any Creami recipe into a soft serve cone or cup with this retro-fun appliance.
